New Online Platform Changes the Way Canadians Think About Sharing Money

Zhippit launches its Canadian online and mobile service with free transfers to Brazil

TORONTO, July 12, 2016 /CNW/ - Zhippit is excited to announce the launch of its new online and mobile service that provides Canadians with the ability to securely transfer funds overseas, quickly, conveniently and at the best exchange rates. Brazil will be the first country where the service is available from Canada, with more countries anticipated in the near future.

"We saw a real gap in the market when it comes to sharing money with family and loved ones abroad," says Agil Agil, President and Co-Founder of Zhippit. "Our philosophy centres around the fact that Canadians work hard for their money and those who share income with family overseas shouldn't be hit with exorbitant fees and rates. They should see more of it go directly to the recipient."

Zhippit created a no fee model, designed specifically to benefit hard working Canadians who send money abroad. The online/mobile interface and infrastructure were developed to eliminate confusion around rates and fees, so that the end consumer is clear and comfortable about all of the associated costs.

Customers can send money from their bank accounts, or use their debit cards through INTERAC Online. Zhippit stands apart from competitors by providing customers with quick transfers online from any web-enabled device including computers, smartphones and tablets.

Zhippit will deliver funds to recipient accounts at any bank in Brazil, including Banco do Brasil, Banco Bradesco, Banco Rendimento, and Caixa. Cash pickup is also available at select partner banks, such as SICOOB.

"While living in Canada, I was planning my wedding back home in Brazil and often had to transfer money to pay all of my vendors," says Maitê Dainard, a Zhippit customer in Toronto. "Before this service was available, I was going to the bank, which was always a hassle and the transfers took up to 10 days. Now, I send money with Zhippit's easy to use and secure platform, no more bank line-ups, no more waiting - for anyone who is sending money frequently, I highly recommend the Zhippit service."

Zhippit is also announcing a new contest – those who use the free transfer service in June and July will be entered into a draw to win $1,000! Contest details are at zhippit.com/
