Neighbourhood Pharmacies' Executive Summit Announcement
TORONTO, Sept. 7, 2016 /CNW/ - Register Online Today!
Pharmacies and the healthcare system they operate within are undergoing a period of significant transformation and disruption. In addition to an ever more competitive marketplace, pharmacies are navigating a landscape marked by increasing fiscal pressures on public payors, the opportunities and challenges of big data and ever increasing expectations of patients and consumers. These pressures are creating a unique opportunity to collaborate and envision a new model of sustainable pharmacy reimbursement.
In partnership with Idea Couture (IC), the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada (Neighbourhood Pharmacies) is excited to invite you to be part of informing the future of the pharmacy industry at an Executive Summit. The summit will feature presenters who will share perspectives on the theme: The Future of Pharmacy Reimbursement. Leveraging innovation and design thinking frameworks, Idea Couture will facilitate meaningful discussions with industry leaders about the future of the pharmacy landscape and the industry's current challenges. The summit will bring together thought-provoking speakers and will also offer practical, collaborative design workshops with some of Canada's leading pharmacy brands.
"Shaping the future is a collaborative endeavour. IC brings a unique patient-centric perspective through innovation and strategic foresight. Partnering with Neighbourhood Pharmacies to deliver their annual Executive Summit is an opportunity to participate in creating the building blocks for a more sustainable future of health for Canadians," said Patrick Glinski, SVP Idea Couture/Health.
"Pressure to manage healthcare costs has resulted in a global movement towards a value based approach, where payment is tied to patient outcomes and evidence based quality metrics," adds Justin J. Bates, CEO, Neighbourhood Pharmacies. "This shift has fundamentally altered the business landscape for all healthcare providers. Long-term sustainability of providers has given way to short term goals of managing payors expectations."
The Executive Summit is the strategic event that will focus on setting the agenda and discussing how to lead the business over the next 18 to 24 months of large scale change brought on by the evolving business model in retail pharmacy.
The Executive Summit is being held at the OMNI King Edward Hotel in Toronto on Thursday, October 27, 2016.
