National Assembly of Quebec asked to denounce Amir Khadir's slander of Jewish
community

MONTREAL, June 2 /CNW Telbec/ - The Quebec-Israel Committee denounces most vigorously the slanderous statements made by Mr. Amir Khadir, MNA for Mercier, yesterday afternoon at the National Assembly, and repeated at his subsequent press conference.

Mr. Khadir accused the "lobby" of muzzling the government of Quebec and of being directed by the Israeli right and military. With these grave and unfounded accusations, the Quebec Solidaire MNA stigmatized the Jewish community of Quebec within the very home of Quebec democracy.

We call on the entire Quebec National Assembly to firmly denounce these slanderous accusations targeting a specific part of the Quebec population, and on Mr. Khadir to formally retract his statements that are unworthy of an elected official. We also demand that the President of Quebec Solidaire, Ms Françoise David, dissociate herself from the statements of the leader of her parliamentary wing.
