WINNIPEG, Feb. 9 /CNW/ - MTS, Manitoba's leading provider of advanced communications services, is pleased to announce improved CDMA wireless data coverage in Alberta and British Columbia.

This enhanced coverage provides MTS customers with 3G wireless data speed in major centres like Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton and additional wireless data access throughout rural Alberta and British Columbia where CDMA wireless coverage is in place. MTS customers will be able to download applications, browse the Internet, and access emails at 3G speeds in places like Whistler, Kelowna, Jasper, and Banff.

"We are pleased to be able to provide improved wireless speeds and wider coverage to our Manitoba customers when traveling in Alberta and B.C.," said Kelvin Shepherd, President, MTS. "As many Manitobans prepare to head West to cheer on MTS spokesperson Cindy Klassen - they can do so with confidence, knowing they will be connected by their MTS Mobility device - whether by voice, text message or email - to friends and family wherever they may be."
