WINNIPEG, May 6 /CNW/ - MTS Allstream Inc., one of Canada's leading national communications providers, has increased its pledge of support to the Canadian Museum For Human Rights. The Company, which has been named as the Museum's official telecommunications provider, is providing a support package of cash and in-kind services totaling $1.5 million, a $500,000 increase over the initial contribution announced in September of 2008.

"MTS Allstream is honoured and excited to serve as the official telecommunications provider to the Canadian Museum For Human Rights, the first museum established outside of the National Capital which will become a landmark for Manitoba and for Canada," said Pierre Blouin, Chief Executive Officer, MTS Allstream. The gift will comprise in-kind donations toward communications infrastructure and a state-of-the-art telecommunications network, voice and data communications equipment, and cutting edge wireless technology, as well as a cash contribution.

"We are pleased to confirm MTS Allstream as the official telecommunications provider for the Canadian Museum For Human Rights. Their support will help us move forward in the development of a world-class, technologically advanced facility based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, for Canada and the world," said Stuart Murray, President and Chief Executive Officer, Canadian Museum For Human Rights.
