MONTREAL, April 27, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Mr. Martin Laviolette, Founder and Executive Producer of Montréal en Histoires, unveiled in today's press conference the three projects being developed to bring to life and celebrate the rich history of Montréal: a large scale new work, Memory City created by Michel Lemieux, Victor Pilon with the collaboration of Michel Marc Bouchard; techno-historical walking tours with augmented reality; and an educational platform about the history of Montréal. These projects will provide opportunities for Montrealers and tourists to discover and experience Montréal's history while generating multiple benefits for the city. An original work: Memory City by Michel Lemieux, Victor Pilon with the collaboration of Michel Marc Bouchard
Beginning May 17, 2016, Memory City, an original work created by Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon, in collaboration with Michel Marc Bouchard, will be presented throughout Old Montréal and the Montréal Old Port.
Memory City presents over twenty multimedia tableaux that provide virtual windows into Montréal's past and fascinating encounters with some well known, and not so well known characters who contributed to our city's richness and complexity. The tableaux are projected on walls, pavements and urban structures to create a physical link between the past and the present.
For each tableau a Memory City mobile application will provide access to related dramatic, descriptive and musical content.
