MONTREAL, Feb. 9 /CNW Telbec/ - Marcel Côté, Founding Partner of SECOR, and Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, are pleased to invite media representatives to a press conference on Wednesday, February 10 at 10:30 am, during which they will announce the major issues that will be addressed at the first Quebec 2010 Strategic Focus.
An initiative of SECOR, the Quebec 2010 Strategic Focus will bring together decision-makers and leaders from various businesses, as well as representatives of Quebec's new guard, for a process of reflection and action to identify and to prioritize the major issues that Quebec society must face.
Today and tomorrow's leaders, as well as Focus advisory committees members, will be in attendance to speak about their involvement in this project: Mr. Michael Sabia, President and CEO, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec; Ms. Sylvie Bovet, Director, Sauvé Division, Groupe Bovet; Me David Dropsy, attorney, Colby Monet; and Ms. Françoise Bertrand, President and CEO, Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec.
An important step in the Focus: some 300 businesspeople from various generations will be meeting on April 22, 2010 to propose various courses of action. A policy statement and subsequent events will allow initiatives to be followed and built upon.
