Media Availability: The Federal Budget and Funding for Post-secondary
Education and Research

OTTAWA, March 2 /CNW Telbec/ - James Turk, executive director of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT), will be on Parliament Hill and available to speak with the media following the federal budget release on Thursday, March 4.

CAUT has called on Finance Minister Flaherty to reverse cuts to the granting councils that support scientific research, increase investments in post-secondary education through transfer payments to the provinces, and increase support for aboriginal education.
