Media Alert - Pickering Town Centre is reaching out to commuters to help the
Humane Society of Durham Region rebuild

TORONTO, March 10 /CNW/ - In an effort to raise awareness, and help rebuild the Humane Society of Durham Region animal shelter, Pickering Town Centre will be showing its support by reaching out to GO Transit commuters with information on Raise The Woof!-a five day fundraising and pet adoption event taking place, at the mall, during March Break.

WHAT: Pickering Town Centre representatives will be handing out
information on Raise The Woof! complimentary keepsakes, plus a
schedule of free March Break family activities. A spokesperson
will be available to answer questions about the fundraising
           campaign and in-mall activities.

WHO: Pickering Town Centre and the Humane Society of Durham Region

WHERE: Ajax GO Transit Station - 100 Westney Road, South, Ajax, ON.

    WHEN: Thursday, March 11, 2010 - 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

WHY: The Humane Society of Durham Region lost its facility and over 100
animals to a tragic fire in 2008. Financial support, from the
public, is urgently required to construct a new animal shelter.
The purpose of the March Break event is to raise community
awareness and encourage public participation in Pickering Town
