- Raymond Garneau, former Quebec Finance Minister, who will bear the
Olympic Torch on Tuesday December 8th, at 11:19 a.m., between 17,
Champlain Blvd and Place Gabriel, in Candiac, on the South Shore.
- Sarah Cook, a 17-year old leader in raising funds for The Cedars Cancer
Institute for Children and The Montreal Children's Hospital, will bear
the Torch on December 10th, at 4: 36 p.m., on Saint-Denis Street,
starting at Mont-Royal Avenue, south bound.
- Dr. Yves Lamontagne, President and CEO of the Collège des médecins du
Québec, will bear the Torch on December 10th, at 6:25 p.m., until he
reaches the RBC Royal Bank Branch at 360, Saint-Jacques Street.
Approximately 12,000 Canadians carry the flame across the country with millions more cheering and supporting them. The Olympic Flame travels from coast to coast to coast through every province and territory in Canada - spanning 45,000 kilometers and over 1,000 communities over the course of 106 days. It will end at B.C. Place on February 12, 2010, with the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron, signaling the start of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
