Media Advisory/Interview Opportunity - YMCA encourages Ontario Government to
partner with community organizations

TORONTO, Oct. 27 /CNW/ - The YMCA supports the Ontario Government's decision to begin the process of implementing full day learning. The YMCA believes full day learning is most effective when it combines child care and school programs that promote the development of children and families.

"As the largest not-for-profit provider of licensed child care in Canada, the YMCA believes early childhood educators need to be partners in the delivery of full day learning," said Scott Haldane, President and CEO of YMCAs in Ontario. "The YMCA encourages the government and the school boards to partner with external organizations to deliver full day learning."
