Media Advisory: Health Action Lobby Issues Statements on Premiers' Recommendation on the Canada Health Transfer and the Naylor Advisory Panel of Healthcare Innovation

OTTAWA, July 17, 2014 /CNW/ - The Health Action Lobby (HEAL) has posted two statements to its website ( The first pertains to a communiqué about federal transfers for health issued by Canada's premiers at the meeting of the Council of the Federation. The second statement welcomes the release of the final report of the Advisory Panel on Healthcare Innovation.

Both fiscal fairness and innovation in the health care sector are key themes in HEAL's Consensus Statement titled The Canadian Way: Accelerating Innovation and Improving Health System Performance.

HEAL is a coalition of 39 national health and consumer associations and organizations dedicated to protecting and strengthening Canada's health system. Created in 1991, and representing more than 650,000 providers and consumer of health care, the major focus of HEAL's activities has been on the federal role in health and health care.
