MONTREAL, Sept. 18 /CNW Telbec/ - VISTA, Montreal's newest and most modern facility for active seniors will be officially inaugurated Monday, September 21st at 11 AM. Dignitaries from all levels of government will be in attendance, including Marguerite Blais, Quebec Minister responsible for Seniors, Kathleen Weil, Quebec Minister of Justice and MNA, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, the Honourable Marlene Jennings, MP, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce - Lachine, and Michael Applebaum, Borough Mayor, Côte-des-Neiges - Notre-Dame-des-Grâce. The $44 million project is completely innovative as it provides three distinct levels of service under one roof. VISTA is a Melior Group project.
VISTA will also use the occasion to announce a new program with the English Montreal School Board as well as schools from the Commission scolaire de Montréal to sensitize youth on seniors' issues.
The opening ceremony will include short remarks and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, as well as photo and interview opportunities.
