Media Advisory - Trade union activists from Colombia, Germany and the U.S. to
visit picket line at the Museum of Civilization

GATINEAU, QC, Oct. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Trade union activists from Colombia, Germany and the Unites States will visit the picket line at 12:00 pm today, to show solidarity with striking workers at the Museum of Civilization.

Workers at the Museum of Civilization and War Museum have been on strike since September 21. They voted 92 per cent in favour of a strike at the end of August and talks first hit a standstill on September 18. The parties re-convened in the office of a Federal Mediator last week, but were unable to come to a settlement after the employer insisted that the workers withdraw a key demand for job security.
