TORONTO, Oct. 8 /CNW/ - Ontario and British Columbia plan to introduce the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) in July of 2010. The plan to harmonize their respective provincial sales taxes with the federal GST will hurt Canadian investors, including those saving for their retirement.
On Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Joanne De Laurentiis, President and CEO of The Investment Funds Institute (IFIC) will brief the media on the impact of this new tax on savings.
