OTTAWA, Oct. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honourable George Smitherman, Ontario Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Deputy Premier, will be the featured speaker at EDF EN Canada's dedication of the Arnprior Solar Project - by far Canada's largest solar PV site. The Minister will be joined by Mr. Tristan Grimbert, President and CEO of EDF EN Canada, and the President and CEO of all EDF EN North American companies.
Minister Smitherman will speak about Ontario's leadership in renewable energy policy, and answer media questions. After the formal program, the media will be invited to join Minister Smitherman as he takes a walking tour of the site and installs a solar PV panel.
The Arnprior Solar Project is a 23.4 MWdc PV installation being constructed on 200 acres of land on the western edge of the City of Ottawa. Once operational, The Arnprior Solar Project will use 313,000 PV panels to serve the peak electricity demands of about 7,000 households.
