Media Advisory - Solidarity Event with CAUT in Support of OPSEU Local 677
(NOSM)

SUDBURY, ON, Aug. 19 /CNW/ - Laurentian University members of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) will show their support for striking members of OPSEU Local 677 at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine by participating in a Solidarity Event on Friday Aug. 20.

CAUT, which represents more than 65,000 teachers, librarians, researchers and other academic professionals, is an outspoken defender of academic freedom and works actively in the public interest to improve the quality and accessibility of post-secondary education in Canada.
