Media Advisory - Richard Pound, Andréanne Morin headline Westmount Olympic
Torch celebrations on the evening of Thursday December 10

WESTMOUNT, QC, Dec. 9 /CNW Telbec/ - International Olympic Committee member Richard Pound and former summer Olympian Andréanne Morin will speak at the City of Westmount's Olympic Torch Relay celebrations, as the community welcomes the flame at 5:47 p.m. on Thursday, December 10.

The City has planned many activities to celebrate the arrival of the Olympic flame, with activities beginning at 4 p.m. in front of Westmount City Hall. Activities include a free hot dog barbecue, Olympic-themed outdoor games for all ages, crafts for young children in the Lawnbowling clubhouse, as well as music and a marshmallow roast over a bonfire.

An excellent opportunity for live hits leading into the supper hour newscast, Westmount's celebrations will be the last stopping point before the torch proceeds through downtown Montreal. Mayor Peter Trent, Recreation Commissioner Kathleen Duncan, Richard Pound and Andréanne Morin will be available for interviews.
