Media Advisory - Red Cross worker in Hanoi available to speak about Typhoon

OTTAWA, Sept. 29 /CNW Telbec/ - On Saturday, September 26, Typhoon Ketsana caused the worst flooding in more than 40 years when it hit the capital city Manila and other areas of the northern Philippines.

Today, the typhoon is wreaking havoc along the coast of Vietnam. In preparation for this storm, the Red Cross mobilized thousands of trained local volunteers to help communities prepare for and respond to this disaster.

Red Cross communications officer Lasse Norgaard is in Hanoi assisting with the relief effort. Norgaard is available for media interviews from 7PM today until 10:30AM tomorrow (Sept 30)
