Media Advisory - Only Ottawa can tear down barriers between Canadians: Think
tank proposes Economic Charter of Rights

OTTAWA, June 18 /CNW Telbec/ - The Macdonald-Laurier Institute (MLI), Canada's national Ottawa-based think tank, will be holding a Press Conference to present its latest study, Citizen of One, Citizen of the Whole. As the world gathers to discuss international trade at the G8 and G20 meetings, it is timely to consider internal Canadian trade concerns. The report says only Ottawa, not the provinces, can eliminate homemade trade barriers, and calls for a national Charter of Economic Rights and an Economic Freedom Commission.

Brian Lee Crowley, Managing Director of MLI, Robert Knox and John Robson, Managing Editor of MLI, authors of Citizen of One, Citizen of the Whole, will present the detailed findings of the report and take questions from the media.
