MEDIA ADVISORY - Nurses, Ontario Health Coalition Host All-Candidates' Health-Care Debate

LONDON, ON, Oct. 3, 2015 /CNW/ - The future of publicly funded and deliver health-care is a vital issue in the upcoming federal election, and concerned nurses in the London area have helped organize a health-care debate for tomorrow for local candidates.

Members of the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) Local 100, members of the London Health Coalition and the Middlesex-Elgin Chapter of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario have teamed up to present the event, scheduled for October 5 at the Saunders Secondary School. University Hospital Chief of Medicine Dr. Faisal Rehman will moderate the event.

The Local Executive of ONA Local 100 will attend and encourage voters from the region to participate.

ONA is the union representing 60,000 registered nurses and allied health professionals, as well as more than 14,000 nursing student affiliates providing care in hospitals, long-term care, the community, public health, clinics and industry.
