OTTAWA, Jan. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - ICTC is proud to announce the upcoming launch of the most robust tool developed to date to help internationally educated ICT professionals (IEPs) from around the world integrate more effectively into the Canadian workforce.
The Canada Readiness Tool is a bilingual, online competency-based self-assessment tool that will enable ICT IEPs to self-assess against employer requirements regarding workplace culture, workplace communication and workplace competencies in the ICT sector in Canada. It has been pilot tested overseas (India, China and the Philippines) as well as across Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa).
The tool will be launched on January 27 at ICTC's 2010 Immigration Initiatives Partnership Celebration in Ottawa, which marks the successful launch of multiple successful programs, resources and tools developed under the Internationally Educated Professionals (IEP) Integration Initiative project, as part of ICTC's Immigration Initiatives. This invitation-only event will bring together leaders from industry, government, and immigrant serving agencies to celebrate the successes of the IEP Integration Initiative and all the partners that made it all possible.
The Canada Readiness Tool is funded by the Government of Canada's Foreign Credential Recognition Program.
