WHAT: 

Global Petroleum Show (GPS) will kick-off its 49th year in Calgary, Alberta from Tuesday, June 13 to Thursday, June 15 at Stampede Park. The annual event will welcome industry professionals from around the globe to discuss timely and relevant topics as they relate to the oil and gas industry. In addition to more than 1,000 exhibiting companies, headlining this year's show will be the Low Carbon Innovation Forum, the Indigenous Conference on Energy and Mining, the Energy Dialogues, and the Country Markets Seminar Series.




This year's show is anticipated to host more than 50,000 attendees from 20,000 companies, spanning more than 85 countries as they seek out innovation and thought leadership in the ever-evolving landscape of the energy industry.




GPS will offer industry leaders, experts and delegates the opportunity to connect with clients, suppliers and potential customers from across the globe. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend forums that will discuss industry trends and solution-oriented processes focused on the future of the energy sector. Visitors are invited to see new technologies; explore new exhibitions zones, like the Clean Technology and Digital Oilfield zones; gain insight into best practices and expert knowledge at conferences, seminar series and presentation theatres; and meet with clients face-to-face at the many industry networking events.




Early bird registration is now open. Those who register before May 31, 2017 will receive a free, three-day exhibition pass. Advanced registration is open from June 1 – 12 for $75; standard registration is open as of June 13 for $125.

New Technology and Exhibition Zones:

  • Clean Technology Zone – This zone will bring together clean energy systems, development and consulting companies to broaden knowledge in this area of the industry. During the Clean Technology Seminar Series, thought leaders will share their insights on energy efficiencies and what the future holds for the clean and renewable energy industry, including carbon capture and storage.
  • Digital Oilfield Zone – With over $168 billion being spent on enterprise mobile apps and $8 billion being spent on oil and gas mobile apps, we're standing on the cusp of the digital oilfield era. In this exclusive seminar series, attendees will learn about drones, data collection, big data, mobile software and other advanced technologies; each designed to optimize business process management with advanced information technology and engineering expertise.
  • Water Innovation ZoneWater technologies are a key focus in the energy industry.   • Transportation & Logistics Zone – This feature will focus on the different areas of transportation within the oil and gas sector ranging from infrastructure, vehicles and operations and how the different areas work together. It will also showcase the importance of logistics as part of the supply chain process that plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective forward and reverse flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customers' requirements.

Tuesday, June 13, 2017:

  • GPS Awards – The third annual GPS Awards will once again recognize and celebrate the leaders who drive impactful change and evolution in the energy industry through technology, corporate social responsibility and excellence. This year, the awards will recognize achievements in Indigenous Engagement, Community Engagement, Environmental Excellence, Technological Innovation, Leadership, Corporate Social Responsibility and Health & Safety.
  • Opening Night Reception – Industry professionals from around the world will gather for an evening of hors d'ouevres, live music, photo opportunities and celebration as GPS kicks-off once again. Tickets are available for the opening night festivities featuring this year's theme "The Science Experiment".

Wednesday, June 14, 2017:

  • Energy Leaders Forum - Hear the views of global thought leaders as they share their perspective on the importance of a global, cleaner energy strategy. Distinguished panelists will discuss the topic of "Energy 2030 – A perspective on global energy supply and demands".
  • Indigenous Conference on Energy and Mining – This two day forum is designed to focus on building relationships between the global industry and Indigenous people, and developing better strategies for future engagement. In partnership with the Indigenous Center of Energy, this year's conference will follow the theme of "Empowering Connections".
  • GPS Professional Bull Riders InvitationalExperience the most exciting eight seconds in sports featuring Professional Bull Riders from all over the world. Get up close and personal with the toughest show on dirt with your friends and colleagues at this exciting GPS event. Produced by world champion bull rider Cody Snyder.
  • Official Industry Party – Attendees of GPS are invited to network with clients and colleagues at the official industry party. Complimentary entry, appetizers and refreshments will be available.
