Media Advisory - CETA views to collide: French Prime Minister and José Bové visit Canada at same time

MONTRÉAL, Oct. 7, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - As French Prime Minister Manual Valls arrives in Canada to promote the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), another prominent voice, José Bové, Member of European Parliament and well-known anti-globalization activist, will be highlighting the dangers of the deal during his visit to Montréal on October 11-13.

José Bové rose to international celebrity status as a sheep farmer and activist who drove his tractor into a McDonald's in 1999 to protest the WTO's liberalization of agriculture. Now, elected as a Member of the European Parliament, he is in Canada to highlight another looming disaster: CETA.
