Media Advisory - Canadian Pharmacists Association spokesperson availability to comment on federal budget
OTTAWA, Mar. 22, 2017 /CNW/ - The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) will have spokespersons available today to comment on the organization's position on this year's federal budget scheduled to be tabled this afternoon.
Based on expert consultations, third-party research, and input from our members and their patients, CPhA highlighted 3 priority areas in its pre-budget brief. These priorities included improving drug access, educating Canadians about the health impacts of marijuana use and improving health care for Indigenous peoples. CPhA's submission to the pre-budget consultations can be found here.
CPhA is also among a group of experts, stakeholders, and health professionals that have been strongly advocating for federal government action in regards to the opioid crisis.
