Media Advisory - 430 ETAH trains for Afghanistan deployment in a virtual
reality environment

CFB VALCARTIER, QC, April 19 /CNW Telbec/ - 1 Wing's 430 Escadron tactique d'hélicoptères (ETAH), in partnership with the Directorate of Land Synthetic Environments, will hold a Media Day for the simulated Exercise Winged Warrior on Wed., April 21 at 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Exercise Winged Warrior will once again serve as a pre-deployment training venue for Afghanistan's Roto 10 personnel from 430 ETAH. The exercise is set in contemporary Afghanistan and will challenge CH146 Griffon and CH147 Chinook helicopter aircrew with a variety of mission scenarios and the "unexpected" that comes with operating in a hostile environment.

Media will be able to interview Roto 10's Joint Task Force-Afghanistan Air Wing Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Paul Prevost, CO 425 Tactical Fighter Squadron, Bagotville, Que and Canadian Helicopter Force-Afghanistan Commanding Officer LCol Erick Simoneau, CO 430 ETAH. 1 Wing Commander Colonel Christopher Coates will be available for interview upon request.
