Media Advisory -- Vancouverite wins $25,000 Daryl Duke Prize

VANCOUVER, March 29, 2017 /CNW/ - A Vancouver resident has been selected as the winner of the 2017 Daryl Duke Prize, an award created to support up-and-coming Canadian film and television writers.  The prize comes with a $25,000 award.

The identity of this year's winner will be announced at 6:00 am Eastern Daylight Time on Thursday, March 30th, at www.daryldukeprize.ca.

The Daryl Duke Prize is an annual prize awarded for excellence in either a treatment or a screenplay for an unproduced long-form dramatic film telling a fictional story. Created in memory of the great Daryl Duke, who strongly advocated for Canadian stories told through a Canadian lens — to truly express our own perspective.
