OTTAWA, Feb. 10 /CNW/ - McMillan is pleased to be named among the 50 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada. The study, now in its sixth year, is published in the Globe and Mail and PROFIT Magazine.
"WOO HOO!" reacted Gordon McMillan, president of the agency, when hearing the news. "We've been named-two years in a row-one of the top ten places to work in Ottawa as a recipient of the Employees' Choice Award. To follow that up with a national top 50 ranking is both humbling and confirming that we are executing on one of our core principles: Quality of Work Life."
About the Award
Becoming a Best Small and Medium Employer is a very detailed and competitive process. It mirrors the renowned Best Employer in Canada initiative run by Hewitt Associates; however, focuses on businesses with between 50 and 400 employees.
The rankings are determined primarily from the results of Employee Opinion Surveys, in which 21 key engagement drivers are detailed and analyzed. The evaluation process also includes the assessment of organization practices and perspectives from the leadership team.
Study partners include Queen's School of Business, Queen's Centre for Business Venturing, and Hewitt Associates. More information about the Best Small & Medium Employers in Canada is available online at http://business.queensu.ca/qcbv/sme.
