-- CX-5 sees sales increase for best January sales on record --

RICHMOND HILL, ON, Feb. 3, 2015 /CNW/ - Mazda Canada announced sales for January 2015 today totaling 3,204, which is a decrease of 15% compared to January 2014.

Sales in January were led by the compact Mazda3 with 1,688 sold. The CX-5 was the second-best selling model for Mazda in January, and tallied its best January sales on record with 1,054 units sold. Mazda is moving ever closer to completing a fully SKYACTIV line-up, which will be bolstered this spring with the introduction of an all-new subcompact crossover, the CX-3, along with the newly redesigned Mazda2 and MX-5 which will launch later this summer.

The new 2016 MX-5 is set make its Canadian debut at the 2015 Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto next week. The iconic roadster is completely redesigned and refined with the full suite of SKYACTIV Technology, KODO design, Mazda Connect infotainment system, and i-ACTIVSENSE safety technology, while retaining the classic roadster feel and driving pleasure that MX-5 owners have come to love and expect over the past 25 years. The auto show runs from February 13 – 22 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
