TORONTO, July 23 /CNW/ - The LOTTO MAX draw for Friday, July 23rd will be the third largest prize amount in Canadian history, with an estimated $50 million jackpot and an estimated 26 additional $1 million MAXMILLIONS prizes up for grabs. This is the eighth time that LOTTO MAX has been in MAXMILLIONS mode since the game launched in September 2009.
"We've given away forty-seven MAXMILLIONS prizes here in Ontario and this week, there are even more chances for people to win the additional $1 million MAXMILLIONS," said Wendy Montgomery, Vice-President of Lottery Marketing.
There have been one hundred and thirty two MAXMILLIONS winning tickets in total across Canada.
When LOTTO MAX is in MAXMILLIONS mode, consumers will see the green 'plus' symbol at retailers and in advertising. This indicates that the LOTTO MAX jackpot is estimated at $50 million plus the number of additional MAXMILLIONS draws that are also estimated.
MAXMILLIONS prizes are drawn separately from the LOTTO MAX jackpot draw, which means that a LOTTO MAX ticket not only gives players a chance at $50 million but also the chance to win any of the $1 million MAXMILLIONS draws on the same date.
Tickets are available at official OLG retailers until 9 p.m. on Friday, July 23.
