Jennifer Wah
, ABC (Accredited Business Communicator), has won the prestigious Master Communicator (MC) of the Year Award.
The IABC MC designation is the association's highest honour in
Canada
and recognizes outstanding service and leadership in IABC as well as within the communications profession. IABC
Canada
has honored only 39 individuals with this designation since it was inaugurated in 1980, with the BC chapter having six MCs, one of the highest amounts per chapter. Master Communicators are nominated by their peers and a maximum of two members are selected annually, one in each of the Eastern and Western Regions.
"Jennifer is a passionate communicator and business leader with a casual style and sharp business sense. She is known and recognized as a compelling writer and visual communicator," says the 2009 chair of the Master Communicator selection committee Tudor Williams, ABC, MC and IABC Fellow. "An avid advocate for the vision of IABC, Jennifer was instrumental in developing the Accreditation Completion Program, which became a model for similar programs around the world."

About Accreditation Completion Program (ACP)
Jennifer Wah
created the Accreditation Completion Program (ACP), a coaching program to assist qualified candidates through the process of professional accreditation for business communicator. Today, the ACP is the international standard for accreditation support programs offered by chapters around the world. When the ACP began ten years ago, the BC chapter had 13 ABCs; today it has 80 which is the second highest number of ABCs per chapter in the world.
