Leclerc marks national bio week with its organic product range Go Pure

ST-AUGUSTIN-DE-DESMAURES, QC, Sept. 22, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Always on the lookout for trends and customer needs, Leclerc, undisputed leader in the food industry is still on its quest, this time with a range of organic products. Developed by Leclerc's Research and Development team, Go Pure is a range of organic products that was launched in 2016 with six varieties of real chocolate semi-coated snack bars and two varieties of mini‑sandwich crackers.

"For 111 years, we have launched several distinctive brands. The company is constantly working to develop quality products to satisfy customers. That is why we have chosen to offer an organic line, to meet the needs of consumers who opt for this type of food. The arrival of the Go Pure organic range meets a consumption approach that is increasingly popular," says Marie-Josée Massicotte, Director of Communications at the Leclerc Group.

These snacks are certified organic and contain no GMO.

Certified Organic Products
"We believe that eating organic is not a trade-off between health and taste but that the two can be combined," says Marie-Josée Massicotte.

The concept behind Go Pure Bio
Each Go Pure bar contains high-quality ingredients that meet Leclerc's high standards. Not only are they tasty - the company having made no compromise on taste - but they stand out with their semi-coating of real dark chocolate.

The bars are available in six original varieties

  • Cashews and coconut - 35 g bar
  • Raspberry and vanilla – 35g bar
  • Triple chocolate – 35g bar
  • Strawberry and banana – 35g bar
  • Pumpkin seed and maple – 35g bar
  • Apple and cardamom – 35g bar

A bar gives you:

  • 11 g to 14 g of whole grain per bar depending on variety
  • A source of fiber
  • No artificial flavors or colors

The mini-sandwich crackers (sachet of 25 g) come in two varieties:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Mild Cheddar

It should also be noted that Go Pure products contain no trans fats. They are currently available in supermarkets at a suggested price of $4.99.
