Transformed 825-room Hotel is part of $6 billion, multi-year
Sheraton brand revitalization
Featuring newly designed guest rooms and signature Sheraton offerings
MONTREAL, Sept. 29 /CNW Telbec/ - Le Centre Sheraton Montreal announced today the culmination of a $24-million renovation that will greatly enhance the guest experience, with newly designed guest rooms and signature brand offerings. The transformation of this award-winning, 825-room hotel is part of a larger $6 billion worldwide effort to revitalize the iconic Sheraton brand. This initiative includes an investment of over $2-billion in new hotels internationally and, in North America, an investment of $2.3-billion in new hotels, $1.5-billion in renovations and $400-million in signature brand initiatives.
Le Centre Sheraton Montreal tapped renowned local design firm Patty Xenos Design to bring the Sheraton revitalization to life, integrating selected elements to reflect the new Sheraton brand spirit while showcasing the uniqueness of the property's personality. The hotel's distinctive new guest room experience reflects guests' preferences for a flexible design. Room features include a 37" LCD flat panel television -- with 42" screens on the Sheraton Club Level -- oversized work desks and comfortable seating. A state-of-the-art multi-use jack pack connection board gives guests optimal flexibility for their gadgetry. The guest rooms also feature the newest generation of the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper(TM) bed -- nine layers in a custom-designed ensemble by the sleep experts at Sealy(R). The new bedding consists of all-white, 300 thread-count bedding including pillows, duvet, sheets and the bed skirt.
"We are incredibly excited to showcase an entirely new guest experience through this comprehensive and exciting renovation of Le Centre Sheraton Montreal," said Michel G. Giguère, General Manager. "Whether this is a first time visit or a repeat stay, our guests will benefit from the dynamic new look and impressive service feature additions. And of course, we'll be wowing them with our 25 years of experience and hospitality as a major player in Montreal. Our proven track record with meeting planners and event organizers speaks for itself as does our wall of fame with hospitality awards and designations."
The newly renovated Le Centre Sheraton Montreal will feature signature amenities and services of Sheraton's $6 billion revitalization program, including a re-designed lobby that in January 2010 will feature Sheraton's "Link@Sheraton(SM) experienced with Microsoft(R)." This unique amenity offers a lobby lounge that enables today's travelers to stay connected with instant access to information and technology for work, leisure and social networking. Designed as a social environment, The Link invites guests to interact with each other while they check their email, research local attractions and even print boarding passes using free Wi-Fi and Internet-enabled computer stations.
Le Centre Sheraton Montreal enjoys an unbeatable location on René Lévesque Blvd. at Stanley and Drummond Streets. The hotel is located across from the Bell Centre and is just steps to the best in shopping on St. Catherine's Street.
