Knopf Canada to publish a new novel by Ian McEwan in September 2016

TORONTO, April 11, 2016 /CNW/ - Louise Dennys, Executive Publisher and Executive Vice President, Penguin Random House Canada, has acquired Canadian rights for Ian McEwan's new novel, Nutshell,  from Peter Straus at Rogers Coleridge & White, to be published by Knopf Canada.

Nutshell is a classic story of murder and deceit, told by a narrator with a perspective and voice unlike any in recent literature. A bravura performance, it is the finest recent work from a true master.

"A new Ian McEwan novel is always a publishing event," says Louise Dennys. "Yet with Nutshell, he has transcended all expectations. This is a mesmerizing thriller to delight all readers, an extraordinary tale of love, betrayal and murderous intent. It is dazzling and audacious, gloriously entertaining, wonderfully imagined and brilliantly executed. This is Ian McEwan at his very best. I am, quite simply, blown away by Nutshell."

Ian McEwan's works have earned him worldwide critical acclaim.
