King's 2010 Recruitment Campaign Developed by King's Students to Attract Future King's Students
Incorporating Technology to Reach the Smart Tech-Savvy Grade 12 Students
King's students enrolled in a third year marketing course in the Management and Organizational Studies program were charged by their client (King's) with the development of a recruitment strategy that incorporates mobile, social & on-line marketing in create buzz with tech savvy high school students. For their campaign proposals, King's students conducted extensive research including: focus groups, surveys, market scans and on-line research. The students' research uncovered that grade 12 students would like universities to communicate with them using both technology and traditional methods of communication. The research also identified King's excellent reputation as a "best kept secret" which would benefit greatly by the use of social and on-line marketing methods.
