Kia's Red Cube Surprises Canadians on Cross-Country Tour

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct. 14, 2016 /CNW/ - A larger-than-life, pop-up installation which has travelled to Vancouver and Montreal will land at its last stop in Yonge-Dundas Square, Toronto on October 15th and 16th.

The 30-by-30 foot Red Cube made of four, 10-foot LED screens is an interactive, branded art experience designed to engage and surprise visitors. The Red Cube activation was commissioned by Kia Canada Inc. and created by Innocean Worldwide Canada, Kia Canada's agency of record, to celebrate Kia's award-winning design and quality.

Visitors will be drawn in to see what's inside and the collective power of the group will bring the interior of the Red Cube to life, unleashing a dynamic technological display featuring projection mapping of some of Kia's most iconic vehicles; the Kia Soul, Sportage and Forte.

"Kia has the Power to Surprise and continues to win awards for its world-class, designs and quality," said Steven Carter, Director of Marketing, Kia Canada Inc. "The Red Cube is an ideal platform to showcase our many achievements to date and continued commitment to designing and manufacturing quality vehicles for Canadian families."

Kia Motors reached historic new heights when J.D. Power recognized the brand as the highest scoring nameplate in its 2016 Initial Quality Study (IQS) out of all 33 makes in the U.S. Marking the first time in 27 years that a non-premium brand has topped the rankings, Kia's rise to the top was driven by segment-leading performances from the Sportage and Soul, while Rio, Forte and Sorento all ranked in the top three of their respective categories.

The Red Cube was launched with a marketing teaser campaign in each city, highlighting the brand's many accomplishments acting as clues, encouraging consumers to visit the campaign microsite theredcube.ca / lecuberouge.ca to guess who was responsible for all of the achievements. The Red Cube will continue to be featured in ongoing advertising and events in 2017, continuing to deliver consumer experiences that have the Power to Surprise.
