Further to the announcement made earlier today it is with deepest regret that the Company announces the recovery of two bodies from the KOV pit. The search for the remaining five individuals continues with all available resources allocated to the search and rescue operations.
The Company has set up two emergency rooms to support the search and rescue operations. A separate support and counselling centre for the families of the affected individuals has been placed in Kolwezi.
The Company continues to work closely with the relevant authorities. Further updates will be issued as appropriate.
