KITCHENER, ON, Dec. 11 /CNW/ - On Thursday, December 10th, 2009, members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), and the Waterloo Regional Police Service arrested two males during the execution of search warrants in the Region of Waterloo.
Kristopher PRIBIC (34) and Tomas PAVLOVIC (68) of Baden, Ontario, were arrested during the morning of December 10th, 2009, following a lengthy investigation of local drug activities. PRIBIC has been charged with possession for purpose of trafficking and possession of substance; contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. In addition, PRIBIC is also charged with possession of property obtained by crime, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. PAVLOVIC is facing contravention of storage regulations charges, firearms related offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The investigation resulted in the execution of three residential search warrants near Baden, Ontario. Investigators seized in excess of 2 kilograms of suspected cocaine, in excess of 9 kilograms of marihuana, numerous firearms and a significant quantity of cash. The project was a cooperative effort involving the RCMP Kitchener Detachment Drug Section and the Waterloo Regional Police Strategic and Tactical Services. During the execution of the search warrants, additional resources were utilized from the Halton Regional Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police.
