Jazz Aviation launches Searching for Santa holiday video

HALIFAX, Dec. 17, 2015 /CNW/ - Today, Jazz Aviation LP ("Jazz") is pleased to launch their holiday video, Searching for Santa, available here. Starting in late November, Jazz has been making magical holiday memories for some very deserving children across Canada. These moments were captured on video and Jazz invites everyone to share in the excitement of being a child again at Christmas.

"The Searching for Santa program, and giving back to our communities, is what Jazz is all about," said Colin Copp, President, Jazz. "Our employees have been organizing these events for 25 years and I'm so pleased to be sharing this story. A tremendous amount of work is involved, but seeing the smiles and excitement on the faces of each child is the ultimate gift for our employees."

This year's Searching for Santa program hosted events in five cities: Halifax, Toronto, Saskatoon, Calgary and Vancouver. In each location, a local organizing committee, along with volunteer flight crews, welcomed children aboard Jazz flights to the 'North Pole' in search of Santa using special radar equipment 'powered' by Christmas spirit and carol-singing. The 'performance rating' was high as 100% of the flights located Santa, and the children received snacks and gifts once back on the ground.

"There is so much that goes into making this event happen, and we are grateful," said Gillian Lagambina with Canuck Place Children's Hospice; partner organization for the Vancouver event for the past four years. "You bring so much joy, happiness and smiles to the children. Watching the kids – both young and old – is always so magical."

These events rely on contributions from many partner organizations in each community, which are acknowledged at the end of the video. Jazz wishes to extend thanks to each organization.
