TORONTO, April 19 /CNW/ - Scarborough resident Vicky Simos is a regular ENCORE player, so when she bought her LOTTO 6/49 ticket for the April 10, 2010 draw, she said yes to ENCORE. Good thing she did, because her numbers came up and she won the ENCORE jackpot of $1,000,000.
"I never win anything, I couldn't believe it," said Simos. "I always say yes to ENCORE."
The 28-year old behavioural therapy student and budding philanthropist says the money will allow her to help promote awareness for children with autism, a cause that is close to her heart.
"I also have a great big Greek family who I will be helping where I can," she smiled, holding her cheque at the Toronto Prize Centre. "And it will really help me to pay for school."
ENCORE can be played in conjunction with any printed lottery game for an additional fee of $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.
The winning ticket was purchased at Smoke & Gift on Warden Avenue in Scarborough.
