ISO 37001: Anti-Bribery Management Systems
The appointment of Mr. Levesque follows his involvement as president and head of the Canadian delegation for the development of the ISO 37001 standard. This standard helps organizations deal with bribery related issues. Published last month, this standard is the result of many international meetings which were held in London, Madrid, Paris, Miami, Mexico City and Kuala Lumpur during the last three years.
ISO 37001 specifies requirements and provides guidance for establishing, implementing, maintaining, reviewing and improving an anti-bribery management system. This standard is based on the best international anti-bribery practices. The requirements of ISO 37001 are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size and nature of activity, and whether in the public, private or not-for-profit sectors.
