SAINT-HYACINTHE, QC, July 24, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend l'Expo de Saint-Hyacinthe, the largest agricultural festival in Quebec, starting today until August 2nd. Every year, the event welcomes close to 200 000 visitors.
For the first time ever, l'Expo presents to the general public the buffaloes of Quebec by having the only dairy breeder of this kind in Quebec present on site. Known around the world for its mozzarella produced in Italy, buffalo milk is one of the most consumed drinks in the world, after cow milk.
The educational section of l'Expo is extended with an activity "From the hay to the cheese" and focuses on the International Year of Soils. L'Expo is also proud to promote the innovative side of Saint-Hyacinthe. It has become the first city in Quebec to send its compost for biomethanization at the Organic Waste Processing Center or Centre de valorisation des matières organiques (CVMO).
At night, a series of impressive musical shows will be presented and features, among many, LeBoeuf Deschamps, Kevin Parent, Andie Duquette and Guylaine Tanguay who has the number 1 best selling record of the summer!
Located near Montreal, l'Expo de St-Hyacinthe is presented by Desjardins. On site, there are more than 2100 animals, the Grand National Tractor Pulling, agricultural museum, new regional products, over 60 musical shows, provincial carriage driving competition, strong man circuit, rodeos, 77 culinary workshops and so much more!
For the family section, spokesperson Ari Cui Cui is back with the premiere of her new show "Ari Cui Cui prepares a trip". In addition to poney tours and 25 rides included in the entry fee, l'Expo presents more than 50 shows for the entire family, among them Caillou (On "To be born and grow" day) and, exclusive, M. Craquepoutte, star of Toc Toc Toc (Télé-Québec Day).
Thanks to its affordable admission, l'Expo de St-Hyacinthe always remains one of the main attractions for holidays in Québec!
