MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 23, 2015 /CNW/ - A new and innovative service has won a major sustainable packaging award from North America's largest packaging trade association. Chantler Packaging's Brandcheck Competitor Comparison won Silver in the "Sustainability, service" category of the PAC Global Leadership Awards.
The Brandcheck "Competitor Comparison" is a service that scores clients' packaging against a set of North American and Global peers. This benchmarking process shows clients how their packaging measures up to the packaging used by their competition. It also identifies whitespace – areas where no competitor has a clear advantage.
"When a brand is redesigning its packaging, understanding whitespace is vital," said Ian Ferguson, Practice leader at Brandcheck. "Seizing that whitespace, adding features that consumers want and need on packaging, can lead to higher impulse sales and more engaged consumers." The Competitor Comparison can help clients to create more sustainable packaging by identifying opportunities to change materials or reduce the amount of material used.
The PAC, Packaging Consortium, is an association representing the complete packaging value chain in North America. Its Global Leadership Awards attract over 300 entries from packaging manufacturers, designers, and brandowners.
