BURNABY, BC, Dec. 3 /CNW/ - Legend Power Systems Inc. (TSX.V:LPS) ("Legend Power") is pleased to report that the Building Owners & Management Association Toronto Conservation Demand Management Program (BOMA Toronto CDM Program) has announced that it has doubled incentive funding for electrical energy conservation technologies.
Incentive funding, based on peak demand reduction, will increase from $400.00/kW to $800.00/kW. In addition, the incentive cap will move from 40% to 50% of the total project cost. This increase in funding will allow Legend Power's customers in the Toronto area to achieve a quicker payback on their Harmonizer-AVR installation.
"This comes at a fortuitous moment for us at Legend Power because it coincides with our new Sales and Marketing program in Ontario. It will allow our rapidly growing customer base to realize a faster return on their investment. This will also reflect positively on our customers' energy conservation efforts." says Gerry Gill, Chairman and CEO of Legend Power.
The BOMA Toronto CDM program is a $60 million fund provided to BOMA Toronto by the Ontario Power Authority to encourage businesses to conserve electrical energy. To date, over $20 million of funding has been dispersed.
