Important Safety Advisory concerning certain Graco Passage(TM), Alano(TM) and
Spree(TM) Strollers and Travel Systems

MONTREAL, Jan. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - On January 20, 2010, Graco Children's Products Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia issued a voluntary Safety Advisory concerning certain Graco Passage(TM), Alano(TM) and Spree(TM) Strollers and Travel Systems.

The hinges on the stroller's canopy may pose a fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child when the consumer is opening or closing the canopy.

There have been no incidents reported in Canada.

In Canada, this Safety Advisory affects Graco Passage(TM), Alano(TM) and Spree(TM) Strollers and Travel Systems with the following model numbers and specific hinge mechanism, manufactured in China from October 2004 through February 2008:

In Canada, approximately 28,430 of these Graco Passage(TM), Alano(TM) and Spree(TM) Strollers and Travel Systems were sold nationwide by major retailers and independent retailers from October 2004 through January 2010.

Graco manufactured the above stroller models with two different styles of hinge mechanisms. Only strollers or travel systems having the plastic, jointed hinge mechanism with indented canopy positioning notches are affected by this safety advisory.

Consumers may continue to use these strollers if caution is used to make sure the hinge area is clear when opening and closing the canopy.
