Husqvarna Unveils New Line of Robotic Mowers

Three Husqvarna Automower® models further market leader's reputation for unique features that enable ease-of-use, reliability and quality performance for pristine lawns

MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 19, 2016 /CNW/ - Husqvarna, the world's largest producer of outdoor power products and market leader in robotic lawn mowing, is unveiling a new three-product line that offers users a range of features and benefits that are unprecedented in the industry.

The new products -- Husqvarna Automower® 315, for smaller yet complex lawns; Husqvarna Automower® 430X, for medium to large-size lawns; and Husqvarna Automower® 450X, for large lawns -- blend ease-of-use with advanced technologies to produce a carpet-like lawn with minimum interaction with the machine.

According to Sean Dwyer, Director of Regional Product Development for Husqvarna, the new robotic mowers continue the Husqvarna tradition of delivering safe, reliable and easy-to-use products that suit the evolving demands and desires of a wide range of consumers and professionals.

"Each Husqvarna Automower® is designed to operate independently and effectively, handling the challenges of demanding yard environments," Dwyer explained. "The efficient cutting technique, easy navigation and other features enable these products to deliver the best value in robotic mowing."

Key functionality for all Husqvarna Automower® models centers around unattended mowing, preventing grass from growing too tall, and mowing efficiently and frequently – similar to the principle of a grazing animal.

While operating an Automower® is quite simple, three key steps must be taken to ensure proper performance:

  1. Choose and set charging station location
  2. Lay wire
  3. Watch it go!

All users are encouraged to view the videos on Husqvarna's YouTube channel prior to operating the Automower®. See here and here.

The Husqvarna Automower® 315 has a mowing capacity of 1/3 acre, delivering silent, emission-free performance over rough terrain, steep slopes and in complex areas. Its manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) is $2,199.

The Husqvarna Automower® 430X has a mowing capacity of 2/3 acre, and its environmentally-friendly solution delivers a continuously well-cut lawn, even with steep slopes and intricate lawn layouts. Its MSRP is $2,999.

The Husqvarna Automower® 450X has a mowing capacity of 1.25 acres, and its numerous sophisticated, built-in functions include Automower® Connect, a smartphone app that allows the user to keep track of and control the robotic mower from anywhere.  Its MSRP is $3,999.
