QUEBEC, June 21, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The Société des traversiers du Québec wishes to inform the Harrington Harbour – Chevery crossing clients that in order to better manage the limited 6-passenger transport capacity of the Seabreeze, we will be offering a reservation service for the duration of the operations with this boat, effective Monday June 27, 2016.
In order to place a reservation, clients must call 418 787-0100 at least 24 hours before the desired crossing and leave a message including their name, time of departure and phone number where they can be reached. Reservations will be noted by the crew. It is important to understand that no confirmation call will be returned. However, if the capacity of the taxi-boat is reached, the extra clients will be called back to give them an opportunity to make a different reservation based on the available space on other crossings.
Nevertheless, it is always possible to go directly to the wharf for any scheduled departure without a reservation. However, crossing is not guaranteed for those without a reservation.
The STQ understands that the current capacity of the taxi-boat brings challenges. Until a vessel with a larger capacity is in place, the STQ requests the cooperation of the population in limiting the frequency of their crossings to necessary activities.
