Grand Opening of Responsible Gaming Resource Centre at OLG Slots at Georgian
Downs

Responsible Gambling Council centres now in all 27 OLG Slots and Casinos

INNISFIL, ON, April 22 /CNW/ - A new Responsible Gaming Resource Centre (RGRC) launched today at the OLG Slots at Georgian Downs. Jon Kelly, CEO, Responsible Gambling Council (RGC); Larry Flynn, Senior Vice President, Gaming Division, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG); Howard Blank, Vice-President, Communications, Entertainment and Responsible Gaming, Great Canadian Gaming; Innisfil Mayor, Brian Jackson; and Tina MacMillan, General Manager, OLG Slots at Georgian Downs participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening.

The centre provides patrons with information about safer gambling practices, assistance and referrals for help, if necessary. RGRCs have expanded their services from two locations to all 27 locations in OLG casino and slots venues across Ontario.

"There is widespread consensus in Ontario about the importance of awareness and problem gambling prevention programs," said Jon Kelly, CEO, RGC. "If you want to talk to gamblers, it makes great sense to have information services available where people actually gamble."

The centres are operated and staffed by independent problem gambling prevention specialists from the Responsible Gambling Council, a non-profit organization specializing in prevention strategies. Information provided to the RGRC staff is confidential. OLG provides free space in the venue and funds operating costs.

"OLG is proud to play an active role in helping develop the Responsible Gaming Resource Centre at OLG Slots at Georgian Downs and at all our 27 facilities," said Larry Flynn, Senior Vice President, Gaming Division, OLG. "This is one of the ways we're working to provide our players with valuable problem gambling prevention information and easy access to professional supports and community resources."

Great Canadian Gaming, owner and operator of Georgian Downs Racetrack also applauds the opening of the new RGRC. "Great Canadian Gaming and OLG are committed to providing our guests with the proper tools to make informed gaming decisions, while enjoying our unique offerings at Georgian Downs Racetrack and OLG Slots at Georgian Downs," says Howard Blank, VP of Communications and Responsible Gaming, Great Canadian Gaming.
