CALGARY, Oct. 19 /CNW/ - GoForth Institute (GoForth) is celebrating the launch of the country's largest resource-based website for entrepreneurs during BDC's Small Business Week. The website makes honing entrepreneurial skills simple and gives Canadian entrepreneurs the opportunity to connect, learn and progress.
Small Business Week takes place October 17-23, 2010. Supporting entrepreneurs year-round, GoForth is thrilled that these innovative individuals will take the spotlight this week.
"One of the most difficult aspects of entrepreneurship is creating a monetized business model," says Dr. Leslie Roberts, President and Founder of GoForth Institute. "Our online education and free resources on the website are truly comprehensive, urging entrepreneurs to examine every component of their business critically."
With an extensive background in entrepreneurship, marketing and business consulting, Dr. Roberts is passionate about ensuring that Canadian entrepreneurs receive the tools and support they need in order to grow their businesses and make a positive impact on the economy.
GoForth's educational program offers entrepreneurs a practical business skill set combined with results driven advice and support. The company interviewed 200 successful Canadian entrepreneurs to develop their small business training curriculum, resulting in 100 Essential Small Business Skills™, which is delivered in 10 online video modules by industry experts.
Of this pioneering resource, co-founder of iStockphoto and president of Fotolia North America, Patrick Lor says, "GoForth is a paradigm-shifter. They've figured out how to deliver a fast, affordable, really effective and convenient education program. This is a game changer for small business in Canada."
Franchise mogul and President of Original Joe's Derek Doke also commented. "There is a real need for organizations of this kind in Canada. Entrepreneurs face a variety of challenges, especially when getting started. The fact that they can now access a set of specialized tools will be extremely beneficial in terms of developing their businesses."
GoForth delivers online training for entrepreneurs of all stages of business development and makes a variety of how-to guides and templates available to the public. The website features 1,050 pages of content, resources and downloads, available at no cost.
