WHISTLER, BC, May 11, 2016 /CNW/ - While many Canadians celebrate May Long weekend with a barbeque, in Whistler, BC, GO Fest kicks off summer with activities offering the best winter and summer have to offer.
Families can start the day stand-up paddle boarding, explore the forest with a treetop adventure race, learn at the GO Green Expo and scavenger hunt and be entertained by roving characters and local musicians.
Adventurers can compete in Whistler Blackcomb's infamous Crud 2 Mud Race, or pick up training tips at road cycling clinics and trail runs. Fly fishing clinics, including one just for women, a beach volleyball tournament, daily outdoor yoga, a ping pong tournament, the Whistler Film Festival Adventure Film Series, sailing clinics, golfing, a digital photography clinic and art experiences are some of the many activities available in Whistler on May Long weekend.
At 7:30 p.m. concerts by Dan Mangan (May 20), Alex Cuba (May 21) and The Matinee (May 22) will take place.
